DIGITAL EXHIBITION:
Mothers of the steppe
Across the wide-open roads of Mongolia, a quiet revolution hums beneath the roar of engines. The women of Egshu are not outlaws; they are wives, mothers, and dreamers who choose the open throttle as their language of freedom.
In the vast expanses of Egshu, Mongolia, "Mothers of the Steppe" captures the resilient spirit of nomadic women through my lens. These photographs reveal lives woven with tradition, hardship, and unbreakable bonds to the land.

Exhibition Statement
This series is a glimpse into the lives of Egshu, Mongolia’s pioneering women’s motorcycle club.
Through my lens, I found stories layered like the land they ride—resilient, untamed, and full of quiet rebellion. Each portrait holds the tension between tradition and liberation, between the softness of their daily lives and the steel they command on the asphalt.
This is not just about motorcycles. It’s about motion, memory, and the invisible trails they carve into a changing Mongolia.

Photographing these women transformed me. Their unyielding resilience amid isolation inspired my shift to raw, unfiltered storytelling. Experiencing shared meals and stories deepened my appreciation for simplicity and human connection, fueling my passion to amplify underrepresented voices.
